DESCRIPTION:U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) will join local bilingual insurance broker\, Alberto Ochoa\, for a conversation about Nevada Health Link\, the state’s health insurance exchange. Their conversation will focus on helping Nevadans understand eligibility\, enrollment and the importance of having health insurance.  Open enrollment\, which kicked off on Nov. 1 and runs through Dec. 15 on Nevada Health Link\, offers eligible Nevadans affordable health plans that cover the ten essential health benefits mandated by the Affordable Care Act (ACA). These include maternity care\, newborn care\, mental health\, preventative care and pediatric dental care.  Many marketplace plans do not cover these benefits\, including pre-existing conditions.
