Medicaid provides free or low-cost health coverage to eligible Nevadans. This includes some low-income adults, families and children, pregnant women, older adults and people with disabilities.

Who can get Medicaid depends on things like income, household size, age and other requirements.Your Medicaid application will be sent to the Division of Social Services (DSS) for final review. If additional information is needed, DSS will contact you via postal mail.

Medicaid eligibility depends on several factors, including household income, household size and your personal circumstances.

Some Medicaid programs also have requirements based on age, pregnancy, disability or other factors.

An MCO, or Managed Care Organization, is a health plan that works with Nevada Medicaid to provide health care services to Medicaid members.

If you need to enroll in managed care, you may be able to choose your preferred MCO when you apply.

If you don’t qualify for Medicaid, Nevada Health Link will automatically check if you qualify for financial help to buy a private health insurance plan through Nevada Health Link.Your Medicaid application will be sent to the Division of Social Services (DSS) for final review. If additional information is needed, DSS will contact you via postal mail.

Different people in the same household may qualify for different programs.

If your children qualify for Medicaid or Nevada Check Up, but you do not, you may be able to choose an MCO for your children and look at private health insurance options for yourself through Nevada Health Link.
